Terms of Service

Last updated: July 7, 2026

By using Nora, you agree to these terms. Please read them.

What Nora is

Nora is an AI-powered relationship guide designed to help individuals develop self-awareness and navigate their relationships. Nora is not a licensed therapist, counselor, psychologist, or medical professional. Nothing in Nora's responses constitutes professional mental health advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Who can use Nora

You must be at least 18 years old to use Nora. By using the app, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

Your content

You own what you share with Nora. By using the app, you grant us a limited license to process your content in order to provide the service — including sending it to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate responses. We do not claim ownership of your conversations.

Crisis situations

If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, thoughts of self-harm, or an emergency, please contact emergency services (911) or the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988) immediately. Nora is not equipped to handle crisis situations and is not a substitute for emergency care.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Matt Coggan shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Nora. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past twelve months (which may be zero).

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Washington State, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Nora after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
